I was blessed with the opportunity to attend Prudential’s #WomenInspired event last Thursday September 22, 2016 by DiMe Media. And let me tell you…I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing this event was, and how much I learned about getting my finances together. Also, not to mention having the opportunity to meet the #MoneyMaven Patrice C. Washington and learn some amazing tips on taking control of my finances (If you do not know who she is, you better google her!).
The #WomenInspired event was a huge eye opening event for me. The first thing I learned as a woman who is currently building her brand is that I need to know my worth. I should never sell myself short when it comes to my current career and my blog. I also must know exactly what I bring to the table and be able to back it up and explain what it is that I bring for the price that I am negotiating.
Second, I was the type of women in my marriage that allowed my husband to take on our finances. I completely trust my husband, but I know now that I need to be right there with him knowing what’s going on and doing research with him when it comes to investing and preparing for our financial future. So Ladies, get involved with the household finances don’t push it off to your husband. If you need some help getting started planning for your financial future reach out to a financial planner, you may want to try Prudential Financial to get started.

Lastly, I have learned that mindset is everything. I do not know how many times I have said this in my blog and vlogs, “MINDSET IS EVERYTHING”. As you know I am a huge believer in personal development and positive thinking, but I never really associated your mindset with your finances. But I have learned that finances and mindset go hand in hand if you are looking to be successful in your finances as well as life and business.
Oh My Goodness! When I say I have learned so much and have been awakened to how important me as a women being in control of my finances is. I can’t even tell you how inspired I am to get it together. I met so many amazing women at this event and I have been inspired to start living in my passion.
So I challenge all of my Savvy friends to get inspired and start taking control of your finances and start planning for your financial future TODAY. Start where you are and start today!
