Quick and Easy Recipes for November: Chocolate Croissants

If you haven’t already checked out last week’s recipe for Quick and Easy Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes, then you don’t know what you’re missing.

For this week I am going to share with you one of the easiest and most versatile recipes ever. This is the perfect recipe if you are in a pinch and short on time. Not to mention they taste great! This recipe only consists of 2 ingredients and maybe 5 minutes to prep and 12 minutes to bake.

New recipes every Thursday in November!

Here is my recipe for quick and easy chocolate croissants!

Here is what you will need for these delicious Chocolate Croissants:

1-2 Cans of Pillsbury Crescents

1 Bag of Chocolate Chips of your choice (I prefer the Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Chips)

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Unroll the dough and separate each triangle
  3. Add a teaspoon or more of Chocolate Chips to the larger end of the triangle
  4. Roll the dough gently
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown
  6. Let them cool completely and sprinkle with powdered sugar for that extra homemade touch

If you are feeling a little more adventurous try using apple pie filling instead of chocolate chips with a little dash of caramel syrup to make Caramel Apple Pie Croissants. Then top with a little powder sugar and drizzle with caramel. These are so delicious.

If you make these chocolate croissants, be sure to post a photo on your social media and tag me in it.

Make your apartment into a HOME – Fall Living Room Inspiration

It’s time for a change, I have come to the conclusion that it is time for me to redecorate my apartment. So with that being said, here I go on my new journey to make my apartment a home.

Fall Living Room Inspiration

Now the only problem is how am I going to do this? My mind is all over the place when it comes to decorating my own home. I really need to start putting my ideas on paper and try to find one set style and color palate that I would like to use in each room of my home.

Now that it is Fall, I am so inspired by the  season. I am loving the color scheme  for my living  room idea above. What do you think?

Stay tuned for more home décor ideas.

A new patient for Life

Eyewear for Fall

I feel like I have been wearing glasses forever, okay since I was 6.  So yeah that is forever (about 25 years). And it seems like for the longest time as an adult I have been looking for a really great  Optometrist.

I have bounced around and around to so many different Optometrist,  I feel like I went to a new one every other year. I was trying to find an Optometrist who really cared about the health of my eyes,  and not to mention  I needed someone who really wanted to help  me understand what was going on with my vision and eyes.

And I finally found what I was looking for yesterday at Mira Mesa Optometry. I have walked by Mira Mesa Optometry at least once a week for the last 2 years, sometimes I even walked inside to see what new eyeglasses were  in style for the season.  About a month ago was the last time that I walked in to take a look at their inventory of eyeglasses, the staff that greeted me at the front desk were so friendly and helpful as usual and as I was chatting with them, I decided to make an appointment for an exam because I had been putting it off for almost a year (time seems to be going by so quickly).

So I went in for my appointment yesterday with my husband which was a Saturday (a definite plus in my book since I work full time during the week) and I was greeted by the front desk staff, who again were very nice and friendly. They provided me with great customer service and made me feel welcomed and  very comfortable. I couldn’t help but notice that everyone working at Mira Mesa Optometry had smiles on their faces and they all seemed happy to be there working. And for those of you who know me, you know  the first thing I look for anywhere I go is customer service. The ability for employees to provide customer service will make or break the experience for me, and I love that the customer service at Mira Mesa Optometry is consistently wonderful.  But the icing on the cake for me with my whole experience was meeting Dr. Orlando Guiang. He took the time to listen to me and what I thought was going on with my vision and he also took the time to go over my test results and educate me on what was going on with my vision and eyes. He explained everything in a way that I could understand and he answered any and all of the questions that I had for him. I must say that Mira Mesa Optometry has gained a new patient for life!

I would like to give a HUGE shout out to everyone at Mira Mesa Optometry, thank you so much for taking such good care of me yesterday. I would recommend anyone looking for a Optometrist to check out Mira Mesa Optometry.

Get your mind right Quote for MONDAY:

“The difference between a goal and a dream is a deadline.” -Steve Smith

I know a lot of us out there have great dreams  and aspirations, and it is amazing that as adults we can still dream. But at this point and time in our lives, maybe it is time to start thinking about turning those dreams in to a reality by taking the steps necessary to get there. The biggest step and first step you should take is  to set goals with deadlines for yourself.

You should  make sure to clearly write out your “Lifetime Goal” (your dream or what you want out of life) and then break it down by coming up with yearly goals. And then break those goals down to monthly goals,  then weekly goals and finally daily goals that will help you achieve your “Lifetime Goal”.

Once we give our dreams goals with deadlines, we are more likely to achieve our dreams.

So I challenge to turn your dreams in to your reality  by taking the first step in achieving you “Lifetime Goal” today!

Get your mind right Quote for MONDAY:

Do what you Love

This quote is so simple, yet so powerful.

If you love what you do your mindset will be in a great place without you having to stop and redirect your thoughts and feelings. Love is such a powerful feeling that cultivates positivity in your life, whether you know it or not. As long as you take time out of your day to do things that you love or start focusing on the things that you love most, you will start to see positive change in your mindset and life.

Today, I challenge you to sit down and think about what you love. Can you do the things that you love every day? Can you turn what you love into a career? What are the things that you love most in life?
